Oculofacial Plastic Surgery · Torrance

The art and science of the eyes.

Specialized surgery of the eyelids, brow, and orbit — where a millimeter decides whether a result reads as rested, not redone. Led by Eric S. Ahn, MD.

The Ahn approach

We don't chase a look. We restore the one feature people read first — the eyes — so you appear as awake and as yourself as you feel.

Oculofacial plastic surgery is its own discipline: an ophthalmologist's understanding of how the eye works, joined to the hand of a facial surgeon. That dual training is why we protect tear film, lid function, and the honesty of an expression while we refine its frame.

Every plan begins with your anatomy and your photographs from a decade ago — not a template. The goal is correction so quiet that friends notice you, never the surgery.

Our method

Procedures

Refinements, each
centered on the eye.

Surgical and non-surgical care of the eyelids, brow, and orbit. Select a procedure for candidacy, technique, and what recovery actually looks like.

The experience

From first
look to fully healed.

Three stages, one standard of attention. No surprises about cost, downtime, or what your face will do as it settles.

01

Consultation & vision mapping

A 60-minute sit-down with Dr. Ahn. We measure lid height and brow position, study old photographs, and show you — on your own face — what surgery can and can't change. You leave with a written plan and a number.

02

Surgical artistry

Depending on the procedure, surgery is performed under local anesthesia or light sedation in our accredited suite, usually in about an hour. Incisions stay hidden — in the natural lid crease, along the lash line, or entirely inside the eyelid, leaving no external scar at all. You are home the same day.

03

Recovery & results

Swelling and bruising settle over the first one to three weeks — sooner for some procedures, a little longer for others. Most return to work within a week, with full social recovery up to about three weeks. We see you at day one, week one, and month three, and don't consider it finished until your result has quietly settled.

Your surgeon

Eric S. Ahn, MD

A board-certified oculofacial plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgeon who treats the eyelid as a system — not a single problem to cut away.

Dr. Ahn trained at Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Albany Medical Center, and the Cleveland Clinic, completed his oculofacial fellowship at OHSU, and trained further at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul — pairing Western surgical training with Korean aesthetic technique. In practice since 2013, he's known for teaching rather than selling: he diagnoses every factor behind a tired or hooded eye with his "ingredients" framework, then helps you decide what actually matters to you.
